National Weather Force is monitoring a tropical storm in the Southwest Gulf of Mexico. This Tropical Storm is Francine. She will become a hurricane tomorrow (Tuesday), and then be swept up from an upper system to the northwest. She will hit Southern Louisiana by Wednesday evening. Current numbers here at National Weather Force indicates a category one or two hit.
Lafayette, Louisiana is actually at one of the ground zero spots for the passage of what will be Hurricane Francine.
National Weather Force will also be monitoring the risk of tornadoes on Francine’s northeast and eastern side. Those areas will including Eastern Louisiana, with New Orleans also included. It also will extend to the southern sections of Mississippi and Alabama, and possibly the extreme western tip of the Florida Panhandle.
