National Weather Force has issued a Thunderstorm Watch effective this afternoon through early tonight for an area centering Sacramento.
An upper-level low approaching Northern California will drop into the watch zone this afternoon. Strong upper divergence within the system will have enough lift, combined with instability for thunderstorm development. Some hail, gusty winds, and funnel clouds are also likely to develop within the watch shade area.
