Thunderstorms Likely For Southwest Wyoming This Evening Through Early Tonight for May 5, 2024

by

National Weather Force has issued a Thunderstorm Watch effective for Southwestern Wyoming, centering Sweetwater County effective now through 11pm tonight.

Discussion:  A storm system out of the west has generated thunderstorms on Western Wyoming.  This same system will zip a line of precipitation through Southwestern Wyoming and into Utah this evening.  Sometime around and between the 7pm and 10pm hour will be the window for this to move through the watch area.

There is a chance that thundersnow (lightning when it is snowing) will be in the cards for parts of Sweetwater County.  So, if you are traveling along I-80 through the county, you may very well see those flashes of lightning early tonight.
