A long duration winter storm is expected to affect a large part of the nation With Deadly Ice Conditions To Affect The Central United States Up Through The Midwest and Great Lake States This Next week, starting Tuesday night and going all the way until Friday morning. National Weather Force has issued a Winter Storm and Ice Storm Watch and depending on where you are within it will be what you see. Use the graphic in this article to determine which alert you have been issued by me for this coming event.
The numbers show heavy snowfall in a band from Northern Oklahoma and Eastern Kansas all the way through Missouri, most of Illinois’ central and northern section along with Indiana, Northwest Ohio, and the Southern half of Michigan.
South of the heavy snow line will be the ice storm watch. This has the potential of becoming a deadly ice storm where power will be out for a long time once all is said and done.
Between Tuesday night and Friday morning is when this will hit both watch areas. I will have snow/ice amounts soon, but in the Winter Storm Watch area is the snow, the Ice Storm Watch area is the ice. Stay tuned for updates …
