National Weather Force has issued a Thunderstorm Watch effective this afternoon through midnight for the San Francisco Bay area.
Discussion: A late spring upper-level low system will move into the area in the next few hours, call it 11:30am local time on April 13, 2024. This system will have enough instability and lift within the upper divergent zone to produce thunderstorms, capable of hail, wind, heavy rain, and of course lightning within and around the watch area.
